Huckleberries

We went huckleberry picking today.  Our first hour in the campsite our camp host gave us fresh huckleberries that he had just picked and told us we needed to pick some.  It's just the beginning of the season, but he said the picking was good.  Well, we finally got out there.
K worked with J to fill her bowl with delicious berries.  J spent the car ride back to camp just eating the berries.  His hands are quite stained!
NB was really into picking.  He headed off by himself and managed to get quite the haul.  Possibly more than the rest of us combined!
Who'd have figured G as a berry picker?  But he was right in there with the rest of us, enjoying the haul of the day.  Kind of thrilling to get free frood, right from national forest land!
J didn't actually wait until we left the forest to start his eating.  He wasn't the only one, either.  NS didn't ever pick into a bowl, he went straight for the belly.  Good times!
